UUM Academics Participate in AACSB Asia Pacific Accreditation Conference 2026 in Chiang Mai, Thailand

THAILAND, 2 July 2026: Two academics from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Prof. Dr. Natrah Saad and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Kamarul Irwan Abdul Rahim, participated in the AACSB Asia Pacific Accreditation Conference 2026, held from 17 to 18 June 2026 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The conference brought together leaders, accreditation experts and practitioners in business education from across the Asia-Pacific region to exchange ideas on practical approaches to accreditation, continuous improvement and emerging challenges shaping the future of management education.
Throughout the conference, participants engaged in insightful discussions on the AACSB Accreditation Standards and gained a deeper understanding of how the standards support institutional innovation, quality assurance, strategic development and meaningful outcomes for stakeholders.

The sessions also highlighted best practices in accreditation management and demonstrated how institutions worldwide are leveraging the standards to enhance educational excellence and societal impact.
Their participation reflects UUM’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its international accreditation agenda and advancing excellence in business education. The knowledge and insights gained from the conference are expected to contribute significantly to the University’s continuous improvement initiatives and support its aspiration to remain globally competitive and internationally recognised.
